Maggots

Maggots devouring dead rodent flesh

Size: 4 - 12mm.

Color: Whitish yellow - Light brown.

Unique Characteristics: Maggots are the larvae of House Flies. When food is rotting or dead flesh is decomposing, flies are attracted and lay eggs on the source. Within 24 hours, these eggs hatch into maggots who then begin feeding on the source. They will feed up to 7 days and within a month they will turn into flies. Not only can this be an unsightly issue, (like the image attached on this page) but it can also be a major health concern as these maggots can can cause bacterial poisoning if accidentally ingested. This is why it is a good idea to call the Maggot Control Experts at Ideal Pest Control.

Control: Discarding of the source attracting the maggots such as rotten food products or any decomposing flesh of a dead animal along with the use of liquid pesticide.
