Woodpeckers

Woodpeckers are nuisance birds in BC. Although they are not a health concern to people, they are quite bothersome in residential areas as they cause not only damage but also much unnecessary noise. Woodpeckers peck and make holes in walls in search of insects to eat, to attract other Woodpeckers to mate, to create a nest or to mark territory. When they decide to peck at your home or business, they can cost you thousands of dollars in repairs if not handled in a timely manner. This is why it is a good idea to call the Woodpecker Control Experts at Ideal Pest Control.

In British Columbia, there are about 12 different types of Woodpeckers. 2 that we will discuss on this page are Pileated Woodpeckers & Downy Woodpeckers.
